Before transplanting to the Rose City, Dana M. Fairweather spent much of her free time roaming the deserts of California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Mexico. Desert in December is a collection of photographs that were shot during those expeditions and is a representation of the intense relationship between the harsh, unforgiving landscape of the desert and the organisms that reside there. "I do not consider myself to be an artist. I do not fancy myself to be a photographer. I happened to be in the right place at the right time and was fortunate enough to have a camera in my hands." All photographs you see were shot with a Sony DSLR and using the standard 18-70mm lens. The frames, which were custom made for this show, were hand crafted by Dana's best friend and partner in crime, Matthew R. Davis. Enjoy.
