Having spent some quality time exploring the world, Annalou now lives in Portland where her passion for food culture is expressed through her photography. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Professional Photography and has worked with some of the finest photographers in the world. Her zeal for the editorial industry began while working with Spa Magazine as the art director's assistant. She has been with Beer Northwest magazine since Day One, rides her bike absolutely everywhere, and bowls under the name Bobbi.
She also spends a good amount of time playing in the woods, which results in stopping to smell the roses, or errr taking pictures of them. She has installed a series of six flora shots. They represent shape, color and texture. Each image is suspended from oak wine barrel staves creating a zen-like simplicity.
Sticking to the barrel theme, she has also installed a series of four shots of the Burton Union System in Burton-upon-Trent, England. These images are suspended in barrel rings. Wondering what a union system is? Come find out. Hint: It has something to do with beer.
To top that off we have a special guest artist, Brent Small. His paintings have a unique Brenty Small styley! Think solid colors, funky people, in unique environments, where solid black lines are key. They are painted on different shapes and sizes of wood, where he uses the grain to create the flow of the composition.
